ford mondeo 53plate 2ltr tdci having trubble locking the crank through the crank sensor hole not sure what the right position should be as the chain had been removed the top cans are locked in place with 6mm pims and the crank pully has a torks bolt in it , that is at the 11 o clock position, i have removed the glow plug from number one cylnder and im pritty sure the the piston is at the top
Here is a picture from forscan. There are two things that seem dtange to me, first the crankshaft sensor is changing between synced, errod and synching. I would have thought it should show synched all the time when engine is running. But i get a good rpm signal all the time. Changed crankshaft and camshaft sensor but did not help.

The CHT - Cylinder Head Temperature sensor is at the top of the engine, right hand side as you look in from the front, near the power steering/water pump belt. riikomi. Throttle body is the aluminum part which is the last before the plastic intake manifold. There might be the IAT and the charge air pressure sensor - so follow the leads. This is the only sensor i can see its part number is 9663480880 and its made by denso.

Mondeo TDCi Starting Problems. I have a 2 month old TDCi that intermittantly is difficult to start.
